General Options contains important functionality settings for all servers, free and premium.
Here, you can change the command prefix that TicketTool will look for.
This can allow compatibility with other bots that use the default $
prefix.
E.g. By default, the close command is $close
.
If the prefix is changed to !
, the command would be !close
Only one prefix can be used, though this prefix can be multiple characters long.
Roles specified here have access to edit the settings of Ticket Tool, via the online dashboard.
They can be specified by clicking into the box, then selecting the roles from the list one-by-one, or by searching for the role then selecting it.
They will also have access to use all commands, including Tags marked Admins Only.
This setting gives access to edit the settings of Ticket Tool, not to access tickets.
To give ticket access to your support team, visit Panel Configs > General Options and specify your Support Team Roles.
Any roles specified here will have no access to Ticket Tool: The bot will ignore their reactions and any commands they send to it.
This can be used, for example, to block certain users from making tickets by giving them a role which has been blacklisted.
You might want to set any “Muted” roles as blacklisted here, that way muting with your moderation bot them will also blacklist them from making tickets.
Premium Feature
Premium users get access to our premium bot, as a replacement to the bot used on all free servers and most premium servers.
By inviting the Premium Bot using the blue button, then enabling “Use Premium Bot”, you will switch from the free bot to the premium bot.
Due to it being used on a fewer number of servers, it will have faster response times, and better uptime.
Upon enabling “Use Premium Bot” the free bot will stop responding to reactions and commands, being replaced by the Premium Bot.
You should only enable this option if you plan to use premium for a long time since it will stop working if your server loses its Premium status.
The Premium Bot isn’t needed to use premium features. All features are available on both bots, the main difference is that the Premium Bot is used on fewer servers, so may perform better.
Backup and Restore allows you to transfer your premium status, panels, tags, and all settings to a new server.
You can also use it to keep a backup of your settings incase you need to suddenly move servers.
Only server owners have access to this feature. If this causes an issue for you, please contact our Support Team
Visit Manage Server > Server Configs > Config Backup & Restore (Server Owner Only)
First, press the green “Generate New Key” button.
Now, a key should be generated in the box above. You may need to refresh the page to see this.
We suggest you keep this backup key somewhere safe, incase your server is deleted. You will want to copy the whole key.
This key copies from the live/active settings at the time it is used, NOT from when the key is created. You only need to create the key once unless you think it’s compromised.
Once you have your backup key, navigate to the same page on the new server.
First, you need to paste the key from the old server under “Restore from backup key”
Next, choose what you would like copied into the server from the backup server using the sliders.
Finally, press the green “Restore Configs” button.
Remember, as stated before, the settings that are copied are the ones active at the time of restoring, not necessarily when the backup was created.
If you are not the server owner and you bought the key, you may contact support in our discord server to have your key moved/unlinked.
Now you’ve edited some settings, make sure to press the green “Save” button.
